José Ferreira, widely known as “Mister Zé”, was born in Paços de Ferreira, Portugal, and consolidated a confidence in excellence as a goalkeeper coach both nationally and abroad. Over the course of a rich and diverse career, he was noted for his work in several countries, including Mozambique, Egypt, China and Sudan.
José Ferreira began his career in Portugal, where he developed technical skills that led him to embrace international challenges. In Egypt, he worked at prominent clubs, gaining experience in demanding competitive contexts. Follow his time in China, where he continues to contribute to the technical development of goalkeepers.
Most recently, he excelled at Al-Hilal in Sudan, where he took on the role of goalkeeping coach for the first team. Under the leadership of the Portuguese technical team led by João Paulo Martins Mota, he helped the club to retain the Sudanese First League title and participated in the African Champions League. Al-Hilal won the 2022 championship, marking a moment of great prestige in José Ferreira’s career.
He is currently goalkeeping coach at O Elvas Clube Alentejano de Desportos, Futebol SAD, a club where he has put all his vast international experience and deep commitment to sport into practice. Recognized for his ability to develop the maximum potential of each athlete he coaches, he plays an essential role in the technical team, being a key player in improving the club’s performance standards and competitiveness.
